About this trek

A short, gentle trek through lower Solu — rhododendron forest, Sherpa villages and monasteries — to a summit Tenzing Norgay called the best view of Everest anywhere.

Pikey Peak is the antidote to the high, hard treks: low altitude, warm Sherpa hospitality and a sunrise summit looking across the whole Himalaya from Dhaulagiri to Kanchenjunga, with Everest dead centre.

It's perfect as a first Himalayan trek, a warm-up, or a culture-rich week for anyone short on time — and it's quiet, far from the Everest crowds.
