Mount Kailash is holy to Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bön alike — the mythic centre of the world. This journey takes you across the vast Tibetan plateau to its foot, and around it on the three-day kora, the pilgrimage circuit that devotees believe cleanses the sins of a lifetime.
En route you camp beside the turquoise Lake Mansarovar, the highest freshwater lake of its size on earth, and cross the 5,630 m Dolma La — the physical and spiritual high point of the trek.
This is a serious high-altitude journey through remote country. We build in careful acclimatisation, carry oxygen and a comprehensive medical kit, and travel with experienced Tibet specialists and all permits handled.

Reach the sacred lake; ritual bath and camp on its shore.

Darchen
Drive to the kora trailhead at the foot of Kailash.

Walk to Dirapuk with the north face of Kailash above you.

Kora day 2 · Dolma La
The hardest and holiest day, over the 5,630 m pass.

Complete the circuit back to Darchen.

Return overland
Retrace across the plateau to the border and Kathmandu.
